Scenario · Account executive
Twelve minutes before the call
A first meeting with a freight-payments company that a directory filed under “logistics, United States.” The buyer is in Lisbon. The product is on iPhone. The useful tie is a board investor.
A composite walkthrough, not a customer story. Names elsewhere on the site that match this one are the same sample book.

The brief arrives
The morning brief names the meeting and the three people who accepted. Not the seven who were invited. Amira Solano, VP Growth. Chris Adeyemi, VP Sales. A silent champion from finance who has not accepted and should not be invented into the room.
08:46
The path, not the title
Chris used to sell beside someone who is now a customer. The extension, opened on the company site while the AE skims pricing, shows that path in one line. The AE writes it down in their own words. Priorread does not put words in their mouth and send them.

An opener with a source
The suggested opener is specific and slightly dull, which is what good openers are. “You hired a lifecycle lead last month, and Fieldwork sits on your board and on two companies we already work with.” The source is under the sentence. If the hire is stale, the line is marked thin. Thin lines are not for the first minute of a call.
09:00
In the room
Zoom opens. The companion is a panel, not a performance. Amira is driving. The AE does not mention the investor in the first breath. They mention the lifecycle hire, because Amira brought it up on a podcast twelve days ago and the panel says so. The call sounds like a person who did the reading.
